‘Ang Probinsyano’ apologizes to Dingdong Dantes after using his family’s photos without consent

After Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes expressed his dismay regarding the use of his family’s photos in Kapamilya series ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ without his consent, the production team of the said program apologized to him through a published statement online.

The team expressed their apology to Dingdong, saying that no disrespect was meant for using his family’s photos in the show and that it was not aware that the photographs a third-party contractor created were their family’s photos.

Here is the full statement of ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ production team:

“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” apologizes to Dingdong Dantes and his family and assures that there was no intent to disrespect or offend him and his family in the use of their photos in the program.

The production team commissioned a third-party contractor to create the photo props used in the program. It was not aware that the original of the photographs used were those from Mr. Dantes’ wedding and the baptism of his daughter.

The program is conducting further investigation to prevent a similar incident from happening in the future.”
