Amid being advised to audition for the role of Pinay superheroine ‘Darna’, Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial expressed her interest in portraying the antagonist Valentina instead.
In her recent interview, Barbie shared how she wants to portray the role of the serpent queen but is also willing to become Darna if the project will be given to her.

She said: “Actually gusto ko nga yung Valentina e. ”
When asked if she likes to play as the antagonist more than the superheroine, Barbie answered: “Hindi naman. Like, kung ibigay po siya [Darna], sige. Pero parang puro Darna na kasi eh, so Valentina naman tayo.”
The search for Darna role has been reopened after Liza Soberano announced that she will no longer be doing the project because of her finger injury.
