During the renewal of her contract in the Kapuso network, actress Heart Evangelista confirmed that she auditioned for the Hollywood film ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ after she was spotted with the novel’s author Kevin Kwan in Paris.
In a report by gmanetwork.com, Heart revealed that Kwan told her she almost got the role she auditioned for in the book’s movie adaptation.

Heart said: “I actually auditioned for ‘Crazy Rich Asians’, that’s my little secret and I almost got the part actually, that’s what he (Kwan) told me.”
According to Heart, she met Kwan when he went to the Philippines for the promotion of his book “Rich People Problems” and they later met in Paris during a fashion event.
Heart, however, did not disclose which role she auditioned for, saying: “No! No! I’m shy. But I made sure na in case na ma-leak ‘yung audition tape ko hindi nakakahiya. I hired a crew, tinape (tape) ko siya like a telenovela. Nakakatuwa. It was an experience and it’s funny because sobrang na-appreciate nila ‘yung audition tape ko.”
