Journalist Jiggy Manicad might have been one of the senatorial candidates who fell short in getting the position but he expressed his appreciation and gratefulness to the things he learned and experienced when he decided to enter politics.
In his interview with Pep, Jiggy revealed that he was able to identify who his real friends are during the three-month campaign an was able to offer more of his knowledge and capability to the people.

He said: “Para sa akin, napakaganda na experience ang politics kasi dito ko nasala yung totoong kaibigan, mga nagpapanggap na kaibigan, mga totoo at plastic at, siyempre, mga bago at totoong kaibigan.”
“Pumasok po ako sa politics hindi po dahil sa titulo, prestige o kung anuman. Bilang isang journalist, nakita ko ang mahirap na buhay ng mga Pilipino na dahilan para i-offer ko ang aking kaalaman at kakayahan.”
