Queen of all media Kris Aquino aired her apology in an Instagram post after not being able to attend an awarding ceremony where she was recognized as one of the awardees.
In her Instagram post, Kris explained the reason why she was not able to show up in the event, saying her doctor diagnosed her with a ‘systemic viral infection’ and that she will be contagious until she gets well.

She wrote: “This is a heartfelt apology to LIONHEART. The honor you chose to give me tomorrow night was heartwarming but unfortunately Dr. Geraldine Zamora diagnosed me with a systemic viral infection… i have a compromised immune system and my fever has been hovering in the 38.7 to 39.3 since waking up. I am suffering from weakness and body aches.’
She also said that her two sons Joshua and Bimby were willing to receive the award for her but did not want them to be ‘carriers’ of the virus.
“The nerd in me researched thoroughly- i am contagious for the next 3-5 days until my system fights off this virus. Viral infections don’t have medication to fight the virus, only for the symptoms. Kuya Josh and Bimb were all set to go in my place to accept my award but i don’t want them to be “carriers” of whatever virus i caught.”
