During the press conference of their teleserye ‘Bagani’ at the ABS CBN Dolphy Theater, Liza and Enrique said that they consider themselves as Filipinos and they are proud to be Filipinos.

“I don’t get really offended but I just got a little hurt, parang alam ko kasi ang pagiging pinoy hindi ganun ang pagiisip. For me, being a true Filipino is being equal with everybody. Promoting and being happy that everybody is a Filipino. If somebody says I am a Filipino, then you should be happy as a Filipino that someone wants to be a Filipino,” said Enrique.

“I may not have been born here in the Philippines, I was born in America but the thing about me is I learn to love the Philippines as if I was actually born here and I love Filipinos, and I love the fact that I am a Filipino and I am proud to be a Filipino” said Liza.
