The May 2019 election is just around the corner and like most candidates, they avail the services of well-known celebrities to help them draw crowds to their campaign sorties. Some to even directly endorsing their candidacy.
Actress Maine Mendoza being one of the more popular celebrities in the country surely gets a lot of offers.
In an article published by Pep.ph, talent manager Rams David (manager of Maine) revealed that they have politely turned down all political endorsement offers.
“Politely naman, nag-beg off tayo. Ever since naman, I think, this is not the first time na nag-showbiz siya na nagka-election. Before that, wala rin naman tayong ikinampanya. Siguro mas gusto natin na okay na yung ganyan, wala siyang pinapanigan. Parang all is fair,” said David.
“Sa totoo lang, kung gusto namin ng pera-pera lang… well, maraming nag-o-offer as in, milyun-milyon pa. Pero, hindi na.” added David.
