After falling short in the 2016 presidential race, Mar Roxas is set to have a political comeback as he filed his certificate of candidacy for senatorial post on Tuesday, October 16.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, Roxas arrived at the Commission on Elections office in Intramuros, Manila to file his COC for senator under the Liberal Party.

In a video he posted on his Facebook account, Roxas asked for support from the Filipinos as he revealed his decision to run for the political post again.
Roxas previously served as the secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) before running for presidency in 2016.
He also served in the Senate after being elected in 2004.
