Sharon Cuneta ‘angry’ over Eddie Garcia’s passing: “THIS COULD HAVE TOTALLY BEEN AVOIDED”

Megastar Sharon Cuneta could not help but express her ‘anger’ over the passing of veteran actor Eddie Garcia on Thursday afternoon, June 20.

In an Instagram post, Sharon shared her sentiments over Eddie’s passing which rooted from an accident he got involved in last June 8 on the set of an upcoming Kapuso television series he was shooting.

Sharon shared a video of one of Eddie’s interviews alongside her caption, saying: “HE SHOULD NOT HAVE DIED YET. HAD THERE BEEN NI NEGLECT OF SAFETY FOR THE ACTORS, HE WOULD HAVE LIVED TO MORE THAN 100…!!! I have had not only a professional relationship but a personal one with him as well. I grew up under his tutelage and he means so much to me. Sorry if I’m venting but this was totally unavoidable. Especially for an actor who was 90 years old… It is a matter of a few people who failed to be 100% careful and were negligent. I do not mean to say a whole organization or station should be blamed- this is an issue I do not wish to be involved with but for his family and co-workers on that day to debate on and argue about. But I AM ANGRY BECAUSE THIS COULD HAVE TOTALLY BEEN AVOIDED. Thank you for this @iamnoelferrer. This is the way I will remember him too. Or better yet, as April’s Papa in Dear Heart…”

However, after receiving mixed reactions from netizens, Sharon edited her post and wrote instead: “(For “World Peace,” I edited this. I am grieving. Let me be.) Thank you for this, @iamnoelferrer . This is the way I will remember him too. Or better yet, as April’s Papa in Dear Heart…”
