The Provincial government of Siargao responded to the call of TV broadcaster Karen Davila that safety should be the priority of the province specially a lot of tourist visits the place. This after Karen’s son got involved in a surfing accident in Siargao.
On her Facebook account, Karen shared that a First Aid team was already stationed outside Cloud 9 Siargao.

“GOOD NEWS!! SIARGAO ACTION! First aid team now stationed by the Provincial Government inside Cloud 9 infront of Jacking Horse! Was told ambulance on standby. THANK YOU FOR THIS! I was informed they stitched a surfer’s head today, also after hitting the rocks. Thank you for these photos. They asked not to be credited publicly. This was my intention. To call the attention of authorities to make Siargao safer. And today, they were able to help a surfer! SALAMAT!!”
