ABS-CBN executive Lauren Dyogi released a video admitting that he made a bad call in the case of Maine Mendoza who applied to be part of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) then. On the said video, Maine introduced herself as a 20 year old girl who took up Culinary Arts.
“I’m Maine Mendoza, I’m 20 years old. I took up Culinary Arts at La Salle College of St. Benilde. I’ m working at our family business and I do dubsmash videos,” said Maine.
Maine failed to make it to become one of the housemates of PBB but became a star when she played the role of Yaya Dub on GMA-7’s noontime program ‘Eat Bulaga.’
Direk Lauren admitted the missed opportunity and said he is only human making a bad call.
“That’s bad call on my part but then again, ganoon talaga, siguro hindi ako ang kanilang kapalaran,” said Direk Lauren.
“Siyempre, isang tao lang ako. Marami pang ibang opportunities o avenues para sumikat. Marami na akong misses in the past. Maraming nag-audition sa akin na hindi ko napansin pero sikat na sila ngayon.” ended Direk Lauren.
