While many see Gretchen Barretto as a the typical rich and famous celebrity, she still has a soft spot for her fellow Filipinos whom she gets to meet whenever she travels abroad.
In her recent Instagram post, Gretchen shared a video of her during her trip in Australia as she met an overseas Filipino worker who works as a staff in the hotel she has been staying.

In the video, Gretchen was seen hugging the Pinay staff while introducing her and later found out that the OFW has not been home for five years already.
She wrote in the video’s caption: “Always a joy to see our kababayans wherever we travel ?meet merlinada from Las piñas. She hasn’t been home to the Philippines in 5 years?”
Gretchen also expressed her joy meeting her fellow ‘kababayan’, saying: “It’s so nice to see Filipinos kasi here..”
Upon learning that the Pinay has not been in the Philippines for five years, Gretchen said: “Kaya pala pag nakakita ka ng Filipina talaga namang mangiyak ngiyak tayo…”
