The search for the new Pinay superheroine is over after 20-year-old actress Jane De Leon has been announced as the new ‘Darna’.
In a video shared on YouTube, Jane was left in shock after she learned about getting the role for the first time during her meeting with ABS-CBN executives and the director of the upcoming project.

ABS-CBN Films managing director Olivia Lamasan asked Jane: “Are you ready for the responsibility, Jane? Tinatanggap mo na ba ang bato?”
While still in shock, Jane was silent for a few seconds before answering: “Yes po.”
Jane who was shaking and emotional was then congratulated by the network’s executives as they each gave her a hug and pieces of advice for the big role.
