“Magandang Buhay” host Melai Cantiveros looked back at how she fought for her relationship with her husband Jason Francisco in one of the recent episodes of the show.
While having a discussion with her co-hosts Karla Estrada and Jolina Magdangal, Melai revealed that she fought for Jason when her parents doubted his sincerity.

Melai said: “Actually ipinaglaban ko talaga si Jason. Lalo na ‘yung time namin sa ‘PBB’ na talagang maraming humuhusga.”
“Siyempre yung parents ko din, akala nila hindi papatol sa akin so pinaglaban ko din. ‘Hindi, sobrang in love iyan sa akin.’ So pinaglaban ko talaga yung mukha ko.”
Jason and Melai’s relationship bloomed when they met inside the Big Brother house during the “Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up” season in 2009.
They now have two daughters named Mela and Stela.
