Netizens reacted to a new project by the Department of Environment of Natural Resources (DENR) using crushed dolomite boulders extracted from Cebu in the rehabilitation of Manila Bay. Senators, celebrities, and some netizens have criticized the project saying it is a waste of country’s funds and resources.
But the Palace defended the project saying the makeover would boost Manila Bay’s image and could help the public’s mental health in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Celebrities like Agot Isidro and Alessandra De Rossi shared their opinion with regards to the said project:
“Harry, kaya pa ba? Better yet, Mask, kaya pa ba???”

And this is what Alessandra has to say:
“Pakibilis-bilisan naman ang paglatag ng white sand sa Manila Bay para sa mental health ng lahat. Baka sakaling wala nang magutom dahil busog na sa view. #ayudaparamasa”
