Kapamilya star Agot Isidro expressed her honest thoughts and sentiments over the importance on being vocal to ‘social issues’.
It can be recalled that Agot is one of the celebrities who has been very vocal on social media regarding some social issues.
In a virtual conference for the finale of ABS-CBN’s show titled ‘La Vida Lena’, Agot together with her co-stars, Erich Gonzales, JC de Vera, Kit Thompson and Janice de Belen were featured for an interview.
During the interview, Agot was asked, “How important is it for celebrities like you to be vocal when it comes to social issues?”
“I think it’s important for everyone, not just for celebrities to voice out their opinions on certain social issues ‘no. Siguro na ha-highlight lang kasi nga we have a certain influence over viewers, people that know us and see us.” Agot shared.
“Importante siya dahil kailangan siguro, for equality diba. Kailangan pinupuna yung mga injustices. Mga social issues na medyo taliwas sa mga dapat mangyari. So, itama lang natin by voicing out our opinions, pupuna… hindi siya nega, we just want to make it right. Yun lang naman ang ano saakin.”
“It is not just for celebrities, it’s for everyone. There is a, such a thing as freedom of speech and freedom of expression.” Agot added.
