Actress Aiko Melendez expressed her disappointment and diagreement over a statement made by Education Secretary Leonor Briones of the Department of Education (DepEd) that teachers aged 65 and below and those who do not have comorbidities will not be required to get vaccinated.
Secretary Briones was discussing about the possible limited face-to-face classes for students.
On Instagram Story, Aiko posted the following concerns:
“What on earth is this again DEPED? Ang mga teachers ang unang mae-expose sa face-to-face classes ng mga bata and di sila i-vaccine? Anong experiment po to again DepEd?” said Aiko.
“Buhay po ng mga teachers at mga anak po namin nakasalalay dito DEPED” Aiko added.
