

Tennis player Alex Eala recently made history by being the first Filipino player to win a major main draw match at the US open.
Alex came back from being down 5-1 in the third set to beat world No. 14 Clara Tauson 13-11 in a match tiebreak. The crowd cheered as Alex lay down on the court to celebrate her victory.
“It was so, so difficult. I was so happy I was able to dig deep and push the limit, physically and mentally. This was it,” said Alex during the interview.
“It’s so special. They make me more and more special to be a Filipino. It’s something I take so much pride in,” Alex added.
Alex defeated Clara with a score of 6–3, 2–6, 7–6 (13–11).
