TV host and vlogger Alex Gonzaga reportedly met and apologized to the waiter she smeared her birthday cake on as. The said incident was captured on video and it went viral.
Netizens find the act as insensitive and disrespectful.
In a tweet by ABS-CBN News, it was reported that Alex personally apologized to the waiter identified as Allan Crisostomo, and Allan has forgiven the actress and said that everything is fine between them.
“A couple of days after a clip of Alex Gonzaga smearing cake icing on a waiter went viral, the vlogger and host has personally apologized to the server.”
Allan also issued the following statement:
“Last January 17, 2023 around 6:30 PM nasa work ako. Pumunta si Ma’am Alex kung saan ako nagwo-work,” Crisostomo wrote in his statement. “Then nag-apologize and nag-sorry siya sa akin tapos kaunting kwentuhan at sinabi ko sa kanya na ok na yung nangyari. Ok na po kami.”
