Actress and vlogger Alex Gonzaga expressed her honest thoughts and sentiments over the criticisms that her sister, Kapamilya star Toni Gonzaga has been receiving recently.
In the latest YouTube vlog of TV broadcaster and journalist Karen Davila, she featured Alex for an interview. During the interview, Alex talked about her relationship to her sister Toni.
One of the questions asked by Karen was, “In the last few months, you were bashed, Toni was bashed all because of let’s say your political leaning. Nasasaktan ka pa ba? How does it affect you guys?”
“To be honest, minsan gusto kong sagutin na parang, in a family hindi mo kailangan na ‘oh this is their political stand’ because sa family nga, iba iba ng political stand. But my dad say na, ‘Your political stand is your right basta mas importante is family than anything, any issue, family is important. So we support each other, we know our stand, yun ang importante.” Alex shared.
Alex also recalled that her sister Toni would open another topic when she asked her on how she is doing amid all the criticisms. Alex also expressed her admiration to her sister as she said that Toni is a strong person.
“During that time when my sister yung parang nakakaharap siya, Iti-text ko siya, ‘Ate, okay ka lang ba?’ Iba yung sine-send niya saking mga topics, about Seve. So knowing my sister, she’s astrong person. And I know hindi siya dadalhin ni Lord dun ng hindi siya ready. So my sister was bashed even before nung bata siya, she was bullied even nung pre-school palang. As in hanggang sa pag aartista niya.” Alex shared.
“So I think, during that time, she was so equipped and she was so ready for that. And I don’t think that the lord will give that to me because I think my sister is more stronger, more independent…”
“Matapang talaga ang ate ko as a person kaya nga sabi ko siguro nga talagang ano siya, she was really born for this kasi kaya niya. Ako baka hindi ko kaya, pero ang ate ko, kayang kaya niya talaga.” Alex added.
