Angel took to Twitter to voice out her opinion on the apparent discrimination between help provided by government officials and citizens.
“In times like these, let’s stop comparing help from regular citizens and government. To be honest, based on my experience, it would be VERY hard to help without the assistance of government. So, Thank you to our local officials for assisting us and risking their lives as well”

Amidst the coronavirus outbreak, some criticisms have been made with regards to the amount and speed of help given by the government in certain areas. Angel’s tweet serves as a call for a more unified Philippines in the wake of the rise in confirmed coronavirus cases within the Philippines.
Celebrity and philantrophist Angel Locsin has been busy contributing to relief efforts in her own way as well. She helped set up sleeping tents for health workers, called out overpriced sellers, and helped distribute relief goods.
