Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin gained praises after she was included in Forbes Asia’s ‘2019 Heroes Of Philanthropy: Catalysts For Change’ alongside other personalities including Filipino businessman Hans Sy, Australian billionaire Judith Neilson, Indian business tycoon Azim Premji, and Chinese tycoon Jack Ma.
While she finds the recognition “surreal”, Angel admitted that she also feels sad for being part of the list as it reminded of the reason why she made it there.

She said in her interview with ABS-CBN News: “Nahihiya talaga akong pag-usapan ‘yung mga ganung bagay, katulad nga nang na-tweet ko. Of course, gusto ko i-acknowledge kasi it’s Forbes Asia ‘di ba? Nakapa-surreal nang pakiramdam talaga mapabilang ka katabi ng mga naglalakihang mga tao. Pero nakakalungkot kasi napabilang ka roon. Kasi naalala ko kung bakit ako andoon. ‘Yung may mga taong nag-suffer, may mga nasalanta, may mga namatay, may mga ganyan. Nakakalungkot.”
Angel then shared how she considers the recognition as her way of inspiring others to help those in need, saying: “Naiisip ko na lang na, baka isa ‘tong paraan para makapag-inspire pa ng mga kabataan na tumulong rin. Wala kayong kailangan hintayin na oras. Kapag may nangangailangan, wala nang tanung-tanong, tulungan niyo”
