Arjo Atayde might have bid goodbye to the television series ‘The General’s Daughter’ after his character Elai died in the hands of Tirso Cruz III’s character Tiago but the Kapamilya actor has been consistently receiving praises for his impressive portrayal of his character who was dealing with autism.
On his Twitter account, Arjo expressed his gratitude after receiving praises from Autism Society Philippines for his “sensitive and nuanced” portrayal of a person with autism.

The Autism Society Philippines tweeted: “Arjo Atayde’s portrayal of #autism is sensitive and nuanced. The character was well developed and avoided stereotypical caricatures. Bravo!”
Arjo then responded to the tweet, saying: “I did not expect this!!! Maraming maraming salamat po. it means a lot.. it really does.. Salamat po talaga 😭❤️”

Arjo earlier aired his message to television viewers and netizens who expressed their admiration to him.
He said in a Twitter post: “Your comments are overwhelming! Got emotional as I read through comments last night.. I can’t explain how much I appreciate it.. I love you all thank you so so so much. I am humbled and because of your love, I will not stop learning! Cheers!”
