After receiving backlash from netizens and fans of the Korean group BLACKPINK, Awra Briguela issued and apology after he and friends AC Bonifacio and Riva Quenery were accused of making fun of a member of the K-pop group in a live video.
On his Instagram account, Awra explained his side, saying that he did not mean to offend anyone and admitted his poor English skills.

Part of his statement says: “Hindi yun pangaasar, sadyang mahina lang talaga ako sa english at yun na yung pumasok sa isip ko.”
“Alam kong nagkamali ako at alam kong tatanga tanga din ako, pero alam kong hindi sapat yung pagkakamaling nagawa ko para sabihan nyo ako nang masama o pangarapin nyo na sana nawala nalang ako sa mundong ito,” he added.
Awra then told ‘blinks’ or the fans of the K-Pop group: “Pasensya na kung walang preno mga salita ko. Mali na minaliit ko yung problema nyo. Sana mapatawad nyo ako at sana kalimutan na natin ang mga nangyari. Alam kong ang sakit na may galit sa puso kaya sana tanggalin na naten yang galit na yan. Uulitin ko sorry ulit sa inyong lahat. God bless!”
