Bea Borres defends her newborn from basher

Just a day after announcing that her daughter, Victoria Hope, affectionately called “Baby Pea” had finally “graduated” from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Bea was forced to pivot from celebration to defense.

The joy of bringing home a child who fought through a high-risk pregnancy and a month-and-a-half of medical observation was met with a jarring, cruel comment from a netizen calling the newborn “chaka” (ugly).

Bea shared a screenshot of the hate, noting with a heavy heart that it hadn’t even been 24 hours since the world learned of Pea’s birth.

The basher posted the following: “Halatang baby is chaka lol” prompting Bea to respond and post:

“Not even 24 hours after my post, yet Pea already has a basher.

To my family and friends who have received pictures of my Hope, you know who you are, Ikalat niyo na lahat ng baho ko, but not pictures of my baby.”

The most telling part of Bea’s defense was her request to her inner circle. She urged friends and family who hold private photos of Pea to keep them off the grid.

“May we all have hope for this new year, but for now, this Hope is just mine,” she concluded.
