TV host Bianca Gonzalez shared her observation in relation to the rampant scam text messages people are receiving. Just recently, the SIM registration bill was passed into law that would somehow lessen or deter the proliferation of spam messages.
But according to Bianca, the scammers seemed to have level up their style and technique – they have included Chinese characters in their messages.
Bianca even asked her followers if they too were able to receive those kind of messages. On Twitter, Bianca tweeted:
“Yung spam text ngayon, level up, Chinese characters na! Nakakuha na din ba kayo ng ganun?”

Netizens shared their experience by posting the following comments:
– “Hindi pa, pero tumatawag na sila. Just last week I received a call claiming from BPI anti fraud dept, sa simula mukang legit ang call until may red flags na sa conversation like need iturn off yung mobile key para mag work daw yung update and nakamax ang transfer limit to gcash!”
– “Sa akin po sa WhatsApp na talaga”
– “Unregister your main number from e-Store apps. Mine got spammed from LZDA. And after doing so, tumahimik yung chinese spam messages.”
