BuCor Chief Roland “Bato” Dela Rosa files COC for senatorial post

Bureau of corrections Chief Roland “Bato” Dela Rosa filed his certificate of candidacy for senatorial post on Friday, October 12, at the Commission on Elections main office in Intramuros, Manila.

Bato who is seeking for the said political position was previously announced as part of the senatorial line up of President Rodrigo Duterte’s party PDP-Laban.

When asked by reporters about the laws he would want to promote and propose apart from death penalty once elected in the position, Bato answered: “Tungkol sa PNP. Gusto ko sanang mawala yung impluwensiya ng mga politician over the PNP para ma-professionalize yung ating kapulisan.”

Before being appointed as the BuCor chief, Bato also served as the chief of the Philippine National Police.
