Cebuana teen Golden Canedo wins GMA’s ‘The Clash’

Among 62 contestants, 16-year-old Cebuana aspiring singer Golden Canedo was hailed as the first ever grand champion in GMA’s singing competition ‘The Clash’ hosted by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.

During the final round on Sunday, September 30, Golden impressed all three judges with her performance as she competed against co-finalist Jong Madaliday.

Golden took home P1 million cash, a house and lot, a brand new car, and a contract with GMA for a total of over P4 million worth of prizes.

Among the top 5 Clashers who made it to the finale were Mirriam Manalo, Garrett Bolden, and Josh Adornado.

All five finalists will be part of the upcoming Kapuso variety show ‘Studio 7’.
