The Taal Volcano erupted on Sunday (January 12, 2020), spewing ash prompting nearby communities to evacuate and for local officials to suspend classes as the ashes reached Metro Manila. Taal is the second most active volcano in the Philippines.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) already raised the situation to Alert Level 4 which means a hazardous eruption is possible within hours to days.
Celebrities like Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda, Ogie Alcasid, Dingdong Dantes, Julie Anne San Jose has called out to their respective fans and followers to pray for the people who were affected by the eruption:
“Praying the taal volcano eruption doesnโt cause too much damage and all locals are safe from harm. ๐๐ผ”
