Actress Claudine Barretto clarified that she has no plan on backing out in her candidacy for councilor in Olongapo City.
In her Instagram account, Claudine shared a short video as she reacted to the claims of Entertainment columnist and radio broadcaster Cristy Fermin. According Claudine, it was a ‘fake news’ and she has no plans to withdraw her candidacy.
“Fake news po ito. Hindi ho totoo yun. Ako po ay patuloy na tatakbo bilang councilor ng Olongapo. Hindi ho ako nakakasama lately dahil inaayos po at nirenovate yung bahay ko sa Olongapo. Pero yun lang po yun. Monday babalik rin naman ako para ipagpatuloy yung mga sorties, mga rally.
Wag ho kayo maniwala sa mga sabi sabi, sa fake news na yan na nagba-back out na ako bilang Councilor ng Olongapo. Hindi ko ho gagawin yan lalong lalo na sa aking team…” Claudine shared in the said video.
In a separate post, Claudine shared screenshots of the news articles.
