Senator Leila de Lima has revealed that she will not be tested for COVID-19 along with her fellow senators.
In the Twitter thread and Facebook post that she shared yesterday, March 19, she explained that she has been in “involuntary quarantine for the past 3 years.”

Senator de Lima has also stated in her posts, “The ideal scenario is mass testing,” and further explained that while that situation is not possible due to the lack of testing kits in the country, the limited availability should then be used on the symptomatic PUIs and PUMs, as well as those exposed to them.

The senator is currently being detained for drug charges since 2017, and has been releasing statements through her written dispatches.
