Versatile actress Dina Bonnevie has come to terms with herself, Coney Reyes and Vic Sotto. It is a common knowledge that Dina and Vic parted way when Coney entered the life of Vic.
Dina and Vic have two children – Oyo Boy and Danica Sotto, while Vic and Coney has a son in Vico Sotto who is currently serving as Mayor of Pasig.
In her interview with Boy Abunda on GMA 7’s ‘Fast Talk,’ Dina narrated how she learned to forgive Coney and Vic.
“It took a lot of time until the point na Danica was telling na, ‘Alam mo, Mommy, you’re so bitter. I wish you’d really let go because you’re so bitter.'” started Dina.
But I guess through times, sabi ko, walang pupuntahan ito unless I really let go and just accept that it’s like this. And so, eventually, naging Christian ako after studying all the many religions. And then I bumped into her.” said Dina.
“She asked me, ‘Do you want to go to our church?’ Parang nagulat ako, ‘Go to your church? Talaga lang?’ Then I realized, nakita ko na… I mean, she changed in leaps and bounds. Bringing people to God, bringing people to Jesus, telling the people about the good news about salvation.” Dina said.
“So I asked myself, ‘Is this the person I’d like to hate? I can’t hate this person. I can’t. So I let it go and I gave her a bunch of white roses and then I said, ‘I forgive you.'” she added.
“Actually, there was one time na she tried to talk to me and ano pa ako noon, kasi it was in public. But then, I forgave her, I forgave Vic. I also sent him flowers and I said, ‘I forgive you but most of all, I forgive me.’” Dina ended.
