“Wake up call:
I am sad. I am angry.
Even at 90 years of age, Eddie Garcia took pride in taking care of his health, remaining useful & exemplary in his profession & unselfish to his peers.
He is a living treasure together with Gloria Romero, Anita Linda, Gina Pareño & so many others who have proven that talent rather than looks is paramount to artistry & not mere celebrity. They are immortals in a business of disposables.
These tragic turn of events SHOULD be a wake up call to all especially those responsible for the everyday mechanics of running a film shoot or tv taping. Training, discipline & dedication to efficiency not merely getting the work done affects everybody on the set.
WE MUST LEARN AND BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS!”
