Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque visited East Avenue Medical Center to inspect its facilities and met with the hospital’s adminstrators. This after news anchor and radio broadcaster Arnold “Igan” Clavio exposed that a hospital in Metro Manila was given instructions to stop counting deaths due to the COVID-19 virus.
Duque denied such allegations and tweeted the following: “The DOH did NOT and will NEVER issue a directive for hospitals to conceal the number of COVID-19 deaths,” he said.
