Contrary to earlier reports, veteran actor Eddie Garcia did not suffer from heart attack but instead sustained neck fracture after tripping on a cable wire while shooting his upcoming television series.
In a report by Pep, director Bibeth Orteza who is a close friend of Eddie’s partner, said that the actor did not suffer from heart attack or aneurysm but had a fractured neck after the tripping accident.

“No heart attack, no aneurysm or anything related to brain,” Orteza said.
“He tripped on a cable wire of the production. Fell face down and fractured something base neck c1and c2,” she added.
The director said that Eddie is still in critical condition and is currently admitted in the neurology ward of Makati Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit.
Meanwhile, a video showing the accident where Eddie tripped on a wire was shared on Facebook.
