Fil-Am nurse Flor cannot believe her eyes for two reasons – first TV personality Ellen De Generes is in front of her and second, she became a proud owner of a brand new car.
Flor is based in Los Angeles, California and is taking care of patients infected with COVID-19. After awhile, she herself contracted the disease that made her unable to work.
“I became a nurse because, since I was a kid, I love helping people. The pandemic has changed everything. People who are sick, since they cannot be visited by their family, I will be the one who’s gonna be by their side and let them know that there is this person who loves them.” said Flor,
“I got COVID back in March. I was positive, I have to stop working for months and it has affected me financially. I sometimes ask my co-workers to pick me up and I walk or sometimes I take Uber.” Flor added.
Ellen was touched by her story that is why she and Andy decided to visit Flor driving Flor’s brand new SUV.
“It’s just amazing what you’ve been doing. I know that you and your husband are sharing one car. So I’ve partnered with Hyundai and they want to thank you for your service. They want to give you this Hyundai Palisade. This is your car. No more Ubers for you,” said Ellen.
“Just know how much we love you and appreciate you. nd when you’re exhausted, in those times that you can barely go on anymore, just remember how many people love you and how many people are so grateful for you. Thank you for what you do,” Ellen added.
