Actor Enchong Dee expressed his honest thoughts and sentiments on being a ‘kuripot’.
In the latest YouTube vlog of actress and vlogger Jessy Mendiola, she featured Enchong for an interview.
In the said vlog, Enchong answered several questions asked by Jessy while they were eating. One of the questions asked by Jessy was about him being a ‘kuripot’.
“Confirm mo nga, totoo nga ban a kuripot ka talaga?” Jessy asked Enchong.
“Siguro when I was younger it was more of, kasi hindi naman ako nanggaling sa well off na family kaagad eh. Pinanganak ako sa probinsya and I saw my parents struggle also. Pero diba, I keep on telling them, na yung magulang hindi naman pinaparamdam saaten na naghihirap tayo sa buhay…” Enchong shared.
“So our life is very chill, komportable. But it’s only now na sabe ko, ‘ok. I don’t want to experience that same life again for my family, for my parents also’. Nag pursige talaga ako, but of course ang nakikita ng mga tao, ang nakikita ng mga nakakatrabaho ko, is yung kakuriputan lang.”
“But it’s actually, ngayon nakikita nila na ‘ah hindi pala siya’… Kumbaga I know the value of hard earned money. Kasi hindi naman madali yung ginagawa naten… ngayon mas nakikita ng tao na ‘ah hindi lang pala siya kuripot… it’s more of alam niya kung paano niya ihandle yung pera niya.’ And nakikita naman nila ngayon with my investments…” Enghong added.
