The legal team of Kapamilya star Enchong Dee released an official statement as they confirmed that the actor voluntarily surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and he posted bail for the cyber libel case that was filed against him.
It can be recalled that the Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights (DUMPER) party list representative, Claudine Bautista-Lim filed the said case against Enchong as he criticized her wedding on his Twitter account.
In Enchong’s Instagram account, he posted the official statement of his legal team, Castillo Laman Tan Pantaleon & San Jose Law firm.
Written in the said statement:
“Contrary to certain media reports, Enchong Dee has been attending to his professional and personal commitments in the past couple of days and has not made any attempt to evade arrest.”
“More importantly, as a show of respect for the rule of law, he voluntarily submitted himself to the authorities and posted bail.”
“Moving forward, Enchong will take all the appropriate necessary legal steps to defend himself against the pending lawsuit.”
