Celebrity Chef Erwan Heussaff said he will return the talent fee he received from the controversial “Buhay Carinderia” project by the Department of Tourism. The project aims goal to improve image of local food stands that represent the Philippines’ culture and culinary.
The project was surrounded with controversy after it was discovered that the 80 million budget has already been paid in full prior to its completion.
In a report by Saleema Refran’s on “24 Oras”, Erwan said he simply wanted to help promote the country and its food, said DOT Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat.
Secretary Puyat added that Erwan also expressed his willingness to return his talent fee for the said project.
