After comedienne Ethel Booba was hailed as the new celebrity champion of It’s Showtime’s ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan,’ she announced during her return to the show on Friday, November 15, that she is six months pregnant.
While speaking with the hosts of the noon time show, Ethel could not contain her emotions as she announced the good news before the ‘madlang people’.

Ethel said: “I’m happy for the gift of life..”
“Ano ba ‘yan, naiiyak ako. Kaya nahihirapan akong kumanta, parang lalabas ang bahay-bata ko,” she added.
She then went on: “Double celebration. Double congratulations to me. Ito na nga. Six months. Pasensiya na, hindi ako makabuga [sa pagkanta], ang sakit talaga ng puson ko.”
The hosts congratulated Ethel over her announcement as Vice said: “Sabi ko kasi sa kanya, ‘Alam mo, ang Pilipinas ngayon punong puno ng bad news kaya pag meron silang good news na naririnig, nagbubunyi talaga ang Pilipinas.’ Nung na-engage si Angel Locsin, nagbunyi ang Pilipinas, na-engage si Sarah Geronimo nagbunyi ang Pilipinas, nagka-jowa ako maraming nagbunyi, nabuntis si Anne Curtis nagbunyi ang Pilipinas. Parang lahat tayo takam na takam sa good news kaya kung may good news ka, kung gusto mong i-share, i-share mo.”
Ethel is currently in a relationship with her non-showbiz boyfriend Jessie Salazar.
