Singer model Frankie Pangilinan reacted to a recent statement made by Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque that Filipinos have been on a nearly year-long “vacation” due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Siguro naman po ngayong nandito na ang bakuna, hayaan naman nating maka-recover tayo for lost time.” said Roque.
This came after President Rodrigo Duterte reclassified November 2, December 24, and December 31 as special working days in a bid to support economic recovery.
On her Twitter account, Frankie shared her thoughts on the said matter:
“lockdown, school and work at home, and forced isolation =/= a vacation. people have died. how heartbreaking.”
“okay but this is truly just foul and cruel”

Roque clarified his early statement saying he simply meant that he wants workers to be able to earn by working on the mentioned dates.
