Performer Gary Valenciano previously drew concern from his fans after undergoing heart surgery followed by a procedure due to kidney cancer.
But months after undergoing treatment and recovering from his operation, Gary is back on stage to give joy and entertainment to fans, proving why he has been dubbed as Mr. Pure Energy.

But while he has kept his faith and a positive outlook amid what he has gone through, Gary admitted feeling scared over what could have possibly happened to him during those times.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Gary shared how he faced his “most challenging of health obstacle” and how he is letting go of his fear.
He wrote: “Psalms 23:4
Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me… This is probably one passage that I’ve heard over and over again shared in church, online, in devotionals, and in songs.
But 2018 revealed the true meaning of it when on May 6 and June 13 I had to deal with what I’d call my most challenging of health obstacles yet.
I’ve lived with Type 1 diabetes for 40yrs and God has been ever so faithful in seeing me through it. But to have been told that I needed a heart bypass procedure, and a few weeks later another procedure due to cancer of the kidney…really made me see the fragility of life.”
