New queens have been crowned in the recently concluded Binibining Pilipinas pageant on Sunday night, June 9, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum where Gazini Ganados from Talisay, Cebu was hailed as the new Miss Universe Philippines.
Reigning Miss Universe Catriona Gray personally passed on her Binibining Pilipinas crown to Ganados who will be representing the country in this year’s Miss Universe pageant.

During the question and answer, Gazini was asked by Integrated Events Head of ABS-CBN Bobby Barreiro: “If you win the crown tonight, what will you do to get more women in the workplace?”
Ganados then mentioned her advocacy for the elderly and answered: “If I win the crown tonight, what I do is to promote my advocacy. My advocacy is for us women to fight for our rights and for the elderly women and for us to know that someone is loving us, someone is pushing us to whatever ambitions that we have.”
