Actress Gretchen Barretto reminded people the experienced humanity had with the Spanish flu way back 1918 where more than 500 million got infected and 50 million of the died. The 1918 influenza pandemic was the most severe pandemic in recent history. It was caused by an H1N1 virus with genes of avian origin.
