Actress Gretchen Barretto gave a statement regarding reports about the alleged scuffle at their late father Miguel Barretto’s wake after she arrived at the venue.
Claudine Barretto earlier shared a video showing Gretchen arriving at the venue and was greeted by President Rodrigo Duterte who was also at the viewing. Gretchen later gave her mother Inday Barretto a tight hug after years of having a rift.

In her interview with ABS-CBN News, Gretchen revealed that her sister Marjorie Barretto “was not happy” about her reunion with the family and that the latter refused to shake her hand when the president asked her to as a sign of respect to their father.
Gretchen said: “It was all so nice until Marjorie had a nervous breakdown.”
“[President Duterte] was asking Marjorie to shake my hand for the sake of respect of my father. But Marjorie was not happy that I was there to reunite with family”
Meanwhile, recent reports say that Marjorie supposedly had a fight with Claudine a day after Gretchen’s visit at the wake. Claudine is currently confined in the hospital after reportedly sustaining scratches on her hand and feeling dizzy following the said altercation.
