Actress Heart Evangelista has confirmed that her dad Rey Ongpauco and her mom Cecile Ongpauco have long been separated.
It was after some netizens noticed the absence of Heart’s mom in their family gatherings in photos shared by the actress on her Instagram account, including the recent birthday celebration of her dad.

In one of her Instagram posts, one netizen asked Heart about her mom and wrote: “@iamhearte hindi ko po nakikita ang Mommy mo sa family niyo po. Asaan po cya?”
Heart answered, confirming her parents’ separation: “They separated long time ago.”
“No problem. They are happier this way and we support that ♥️,” Heart added in a separate comment.
Heart has been sharing more photos and videos about her dad on her social media accounts.
In one of her recent YouTube vlogs, Heart even featured her dad in a special Father’s Day content who showed how he prepares his version of ‘pata tim’.
Meanwhile, Heart has not shared any update about her mom on her social media accounts since 2017.
