Actor Ian Veneracion admitted that he prayed for her only daughter, Deirdre “Dids” Veneracion to be a part of the LGBT community.
In the latest YouTube vlog of TV host Karen Davila, she featured Ian for an interview. During the interview, Ian expressed his honest thoughts and opinions as he shared how he accepted her daughter’s coming out as a lesbian. According to Ian, he suspected it since Dids was still young.
“So you suspected nuon pa, ‘pwedeng yung anak kong ‘to, she could be part of the LGBT community.’”
“Actually I was praying…” Ian revealed.
“You were?” Karen appeared to be surprised.
“Yeah. Kasi takot ako, pag niligawan tong anak ko tapos lokohin, baka saktan ‘to ay…” Ian said.
“Pinagdasal mo si Dids na sana part ng LGBT community…” Karen confirmed.
“Yes. Tsaka bata palang siya, I would tell my directors, my ano… when they meet her, sinasabi ko, ‘I’m going to turn her into a lesbian.’ Lasi, jino-joke ko. Kasi nga sabi nila, ‘O you’re so selfish’. Sabi ko, ‘Yes I am. She’s my heart.’ Because nakikita ko naman sakanya na. And then eventually yun, when she told me, parang wala, no surprise…” Ian shared.
