Netizens are now speculating as to what will happen to “It’s Showtime” after its contract with TV5 expires on June 30, 2023. Where will it air?
Even if the contract with TV5 expires, “It’s Showtime” is still aired on the Kapamilya Channel and A2Z.
During the program ‘Showbiz Update’ of talent manager Ogie Diaz, the said topic was discussed.
And one of the possibilities that is being floated is the airing of “It’s Showtime” on GTV,
owned and operated by the Citynet Network Marketing and Productions Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of GMA Network Inc.
The said rumor started when It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda sang the Kapuso jingle during their program.
But according to Ogie, there is no truth to the said transfer rumor.
“May nakausap ako, wala daw katotohanan yun.” said Ogie.
