It seems there is a slight confusion happening in the UniTeam senatorial team, on whether actor Rodin Padilla is part of the group’s senatorial slate or not.
During the UniTeam campaign rally at Paoay Sand Dunes, vice presidential aspirant Sara Duterte introduced Padilla as the team’s 12th candidate for senator.
“12 na po kami ngayong araw na ito,” said Duterte.
In a report by CNN Philippines, presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos said the arrangement with Padilla is “unusual.”
“Alam niyo po, si Robin Padilla, kahit hindi po namin kasama ‘yan sa lineup ng mga senador ay matagal na po naming naging kaibigan ‘yan,” Marcos said.
“At kaya naman eh kahit na hindi siya technically naisama, eh pagka-nandiyan siya, kapag mayroon siyang panahon, eh sinasama namin,” added Marcos.
For his part, Padilla admitted that there were no formal talks between him and the group as of yet.
“Wala pa pong pormal na usapan kasi po ‘yung sa amin ni Ma’am Sara, ano po ‘yun e, talagang ako’y nasa ilalim niya,” admitted Padilla.
