Fans of the Kapuso game show ‘Wowowin’ started to notice host Sugar Mercado’s absence from the show which has been sparking speculations online.
While no definite reason was revealed about Sugar’s absence from the show hosted by Willie Revillame, the female host was last seen early in June a few episodes after new host ‘sexy hipon’ Herlene was introduced.

According to a report by Bandera, a source said that the reason of Sugar’s absence from the show is that she wanted to focus on taking care of her young kids.
The source said: “E, maliliit pa ang mga anak niya, single mom si Sugar, kaya kailangan talagang hands-on siya sa pagpapalaki sa mga anak niya. Puwede niya namang ipaubaya muna sa mother niya ang pag-aalaga, saka sa mga maids, pero iba pa rin siyempre kapag mommy ang kasama ng mga bata.”
“Maayos naman siyang nagpaalam kay Kuya Wil, wala namang problema, naintindihan naman ni kuya ang sitwasyon niya. Saka anytime na gusto niyang bumalik sa hosting, bukas pa rin ang game show para sa kanya,” the source added.
Sugar became part of ‘Wowowin’ last 2017.
